Scott Pollock – FBC
Scot is a husband, father, teaching pastor and lifelong student. He married his wife Liza in 2000 and adopted their son Andrew in 2003. Sixteen months later in 2004, their daughter Isabel (Izzy) was born. After almost 10 years in student ministry, Scot entered seminary at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2003 and graduated with a Masters of Theology in the New Testament Department in 2009. During his seminary career, Scot continued to travel and teach the Bible, and assisted in the student ministry of Faith Bible Church after Liza and he became members in 2004. In 2008, through a growing friendship and mentorship with Dave Anderson, the then senior pastor of Faith Bible, Scot joined the pastoral staff as a Teaching Pastor. After Anderson retired in May 2009 to devote himself full-time to the burgeoning Grace School of Theology, Scot joined Dr. Bill Yarger, the Executive Pastor, as co-pastors of the pastoral team. Since then Scot has been focused primarily on corporate teaching in the Sunday services, communications, prayer ministry, welcome ministry, missions ministry, shepherding members of the pastoral team and leadership. Above all, Scot considers his main role to be that of husband and father. Liza, Andrew and Izzy remain his best friends and even though teaching God's Word is his deepest passion in life, taking a bike ride to the park is a close second. |
