Ed Sikora - President
John Morris - Treasurer
John C. Morris is a professional finance executive with banking, treasury operations, corporate finance, investments and project management experience. With both large corporate and start-up experience, his industry background includes hospitality, airlines, corporate banking and consulting. His extensive experience includes Vice President, Business Banking Relationship Manager at Bank of Texas (current), Vice President at JP Morgan Chase (2011-2015), and Vice President at CapNet Securities Corporation (2009-2011). From 2007 through 2009, he was EVP/CFO & founder of Concierge Contacts, a niche publishing start-up based in The Woodlands, TX. Prior to that, 2003 through 2006, he was Director BTA Revenue Programs and Electronic Commission Services at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Atlanta, GA. From 2001 to 2002, he performed various short-term consulting engagements with JPMorgan Xign, Monex Financial Services, Sterling Bancshares and IHG. From 1995 to 2001, he was managing director treasury of Continental Airlines, where he was part of the new management team that led the company to its historic turnaround. From 1985 until 1995, he was Vice President at Bank of America in both Charlotte, NC and Dallas, TX. He is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College, Bachelor of Arts – Cum Laude (double major: political science and business administration) and the University of Kentucky, Master of Business Administration (area of concentration: finance). In addition, he is a CCM, Certified Cash Manager, and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
Tammy Sikora - Secretary
Professionally, Tammy is a licensed Physical Therapist at Houston Northwest Medical Center, working in inpatient acute care. She has clinical experience in acute care, rehabilitation, and pediatrics. She earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1987 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. She has managed her son’s home-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) program for 17 years, utilizing the expertise of Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) consultants for program teaching strategies, functional language training, and behavioral support, including Dr. Vincent Carbone, who specializes in the Verbal Behavior Approach. She has attended numerous continuing education conferences and seminars within physical therapy, ABA, and Autism through the years.
Tammy is skilled in basic conversational American Sign Language, having completed several classes through the interpreter training program at North Harris Community College. Tammy served on the steering committee to help start the Joyful Blessings Special Need Ministry at Faith Bible Church in The Woodlands, Texas. Since the startup of Joyful Blessings in 2006, she has volunteered in the specialized Sunday School classroom, utilizing a multi-sensory approach and has developed curriculum as well as made modifications to commercially developed curriculum to meet the needs of the individuals that attend the class.
Virginia Young - Director
Virginia Young is a native Houstonian and mother of four children. She and her husband, Clay, have lived in The Woodlands since 1998. Virginia holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science and Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M. She has clinical experience in cardiac rehabilitation at the Methodist hospital. She previously worked in cell biology at Baylor College of Medicine followed by Lark Sequencing Technologies where she supervised the DNA sequencing laboratory. She is a physical education teacher, fitness instructor, personal trainer and wellness consultant. She has served as a board member of the Bell County American Heart Association and as chair of the American Heart Walk as well as several other fun runs. She currently teaches creative movement to preschool age children. Her lifelong experiences with special needs children and adults has brought her to the board at Special Life Network.
